The 7 day maximum stay policy is a great tool to prevent people from overstaying, getting too comfortable, hijacking shared rooms and causing complaints from other guests.
However, longer stays can be a nice source of income as well. This is why Managers have the power to override this rule based on the guest's-in-question previous behaviour.
In case the Manager agrees to accept the extension, here are a few things to keep in mind:
❗️ remind the guest (in a super nice way) you are accepting this exception based on their good behaviour
❗️ let them know that you reserve the right to ask them to leave (with refund of remaining nights) should they cause any trouble.
✔️ check on the room occasionally and make sure they're not affecting other guests' hostel experience (their belongings all over the room etc). If they are staying longer than usual, it does not mean it should show!
